The famous bridge by A. Palladio which became the symbol of Bassano


In the countryside of Vicenza there is the Villa Godi-Malinverni in Lugo near Marostica. This small medieval town is famous for the chess game which takes place only every two years in September during even years (1999, 2001, 2003 etc.). A few minutes from Marostica there is Bassano, known all over the world for its grappa (brandy) distilleries and grappa museum, as well as its bridge, which was also designed by Palladio.



In Bassano:
